 "so so" 2010-10-24

Sound is not very good, have to crank it up alot to hear. The remote is a bit funky and there is a small area where remote will operate TV. If not pointed at just the right spot (very small) it will not change what ever on TV. The price for this item seems to go all over the place on Amazon. When I first looked it was $541, when I finally ordered it was $520 and a few weeks later I found it was at $510.

"Poor customer service from LG" 2010-10-13
By Rafael
I used the TV for two weeks and it stopped working.I perfectly understand that some bugs could happened, but what I don't accept is a poor post-sale service. When I called LG to exchange the equipment they told me that LG warranty policy dont exchange the TV, but they can send someone to fix it. I didn't like the customer service and warranty policy of LG. I was expecting a better service.

 "Nice viewing!" 2010-10-11
By Gilbert B. Weisman
My family lost it elderly 35" Sony Trinitron to age. So after a moment of silence and struggling to get it out of the house b/c it was so damned heavy, I needed to work on a replacement. Man, we live in a complex tv world. Too many from which to choose. I learned that for the size I needed, and LCD was the way to go. I am not techno-savy. After much kinda superficial investigation (I am busy, and who has time?), and following in no small part Amazon reviews of tv's, I chose this one. I never had any LG product before. The price was right - heck the Amazon price was substantially less than even Best Buy.

It came quickly. Is very light and easy to assemble (takes just a few minutes to assemble the stand and affix the tv to the stand. Set up is very straight forward and takes all of 5 minutes. It comes with a disc that presumably has detailed instructions and explanations that you can view, I would think, on a computer (maybe a dvd player). I did not view it.

I therefore must be using only the tv basics, and frankly that is just fine. So, though surely this set has much more to offer for those who are into the technology aspects of life, for anyone who is a "regular person" this tv will suit you just fine. Remote control is just fine. Picture is just fine. Sound is just fine. And if you are, in fact, a techno-geek, this may still be the set for you (but I can not speak to that.)

"Great TV for the price" 2010-09-27
By Jrod
I was looking for a smaller TV for the master bedroom; and after much research, decided to go with the LG 37LD450. I have not been disappointed. I think the picture quality is better than my 46" Samsung 1080 although it may also be attributed to the HDMI cables which I also purchased from Amazon.

Like most of the flat screen TVs, the sound quality is not the best. I think the speakers may be underneath the screen, but it works well for our room. This TV was also easy to program and setup. I would definately recommend this TV for someone looking for a smaller TV at a great price.
