Got it on 10/2 (Saturday) and found that the holes on the plastic piece supporting the set on its stand didn't match the holes in the set. Called Samsung 10/4 and they sent replacement, but due to their policy of 5 to 15 business days before SHIPMENT, didn't get it till 10/18. Guess what - it was identical to the mismatched part originally sent and which appears in their manual as the 32" part. Further study of the manual shows a part intended for a 37"-and-up set and which appears to conform to the TV set's hole alignment. I called Samsung on 10/18 and am presently awaiting receipt of this larger part.
Amazon return privileges expire on 11/1 and I haven't yet had a chance to plug the set in and see how it works. What a boondoggle! (I'm an engineer and used to putting complex items together. If I can include a picture, I've photoed the set sitting on the mismatched part.)

I bought this TV after reading alot of reviews and a few visits to store to compare different 32" size TVs offered by Sony, Samsung, LG and Panasonic. This was among the best and top of the line Samsung 'LCD' 1080p HDTV model in 32 inch series. Finally I narrowed down my search to Sony's Bravia 32" KDL32EX400 and Samsung's LNC530 and LNC550.
All 3 HDTVs have a lot of things in common like 1080p res, 60Hz refresh rate, CCFL LCD Panel, HDMI/USB ports, Picture-in-Picture support etc, but there are also some diffs among these three. Samsung LNC550 stood out from the former (Sony KDL32EX400) in the following features.
--USB Media Player. The USB Media Player on Samsung is way ahead than any of its competitors. This things plays a wide variety of video/audio codecs. You name it and they have it. It also supports the audio and subtitle files.
--DLNA 'All Share' Network Streaming. This is something really important for me in a TV since I have most of my media files on PC. The same USB Media Player in this TV also plays 'flawlessly' a number of audio/video streams directly from your PC. All you need is, connect your TV to your Wireless router (wired connection) and then share your media files via the home WiFi network. You can use either Samsung's PC Share Manager software or Windows 7 Media Player to share your contents. (Both LNC530 and KDL32EX400 lack this)
--Supports an affordable Samsung LinkStick Wireless adapter which connects your TV to broadband router wirelessly.
--Intuitive Samsungs Remote controls
--Intuitive OnScreen Menu Navigation

Great LCD for a midsized room. The menu settings and remote take a bit of getting used to, but it is not a deal breaker. The picture is very clear, vibrant with crisp color and black "blacks". I can hardly tell when I'm watching one of Time Warner Cable's "regular" or "HD" stations. The aesthetics of the TV itself is very nice. I didn't think I'd care for the red line around the bezel but it is not so noticeable and won't clash with your room colors. The line is not bold so it disappears after awhile.
I can't comment much about viewing this at an angle. I have it in an armoire so it is position only for direct viewing. It looks like it handles angle viewing well when I'm walking by or entering the room.
I'm usually a Panasonic die-hard fan when it comes to TVs. Space requirements forced me to Samsung. However, I am pleasantly surprised and happy with this purchase so far. I have been using this for a couple of months now. The proof will come over time. All of my previous Panny's were all quality workhorses. As my first Samsung purchase I hope this will be a similar experience.

This tv is awesome! Don't think the touch of red color really makes a difference but I love it. I plan on buying a larger one from amazon soon. Amazon is great and the tv arrived like in two days. Love it!!

Received the tv a day earlier than promised
Installed the tv in our cabinet
And have been enjoying the near perfect
Crisp and clear picture ever since.
I do highly recommend this model.
And the best part about the deal was
Amazon's price which was about 200.00
